I know you guys like this stuff.
Quite heavily rusted but I didn't bother brushing it off.
just took off the brass inlet and lobbed it in the tank overnight and next morning...
Comes out like this
Hose down takes off a lot of the paint
But then you still need to brush off the magnetite. So far so good
Apart from testing a few screws to see how far I could pull it apart, I just dried it and sprayed it with heat resisting paint.
Hmm. 1960. Fifty odd years old then
Using a secret process I buff up the paint before you can say Stovax.
G.P.O. ? Why's that I wonder (I don't actually know yet!)
But it works lovely. Maybe a keeper.
