I've been thinking of getting one of the basic carlifters/tilters. Both CJ Autos and Automech do them. We don't have a garage to fit anything like a proper 2 post lift so it will be a use-on-the-drive thing.
I've done a forum search and there are a few comments but does anyone have one? My main concerns are safety and accessibility. They look very stable in the videos. Do they need to be on a perfectly level surface? Access to front and back under the cars looks good. Some comments say you can't access the middle very well?
My car sits pretty low and I'd be looking to do stuff like changing bushes, changing fuel filter (currently inaccessible) and possibly swapping the exhaust.
I think @Burdekin might have one. I'd be getting a basic 1.5 ton one probably.
This kind of thing:
You don't see many used ones on ebay. Are they so useful people keep them? Or do they end up scrapped?

1.5 Ton Mini Tilting Lift - ideal for the home mechanic
The 1.5 ton mini tilting lift CL03 will raise then tilt the car forward or backwards leaving a massive clearance at the front and rear.
