I've been looking around with a view to buying a mig (having not had one for over 20 yrs) and keep coming back to the Tec-Arc options which seem to get rave reviews everywhere. I'll mostly be working with clean thin material (mild steel, maybe aluminium on occasion).
I think I get the gist of what capacitors do in a mig (mostly by reading past posts here), but what I'd like to know is do they make a machine better or worse for working with thin stuff? ...so should I go for an Oxford Migmaker (with) or a Portamig (without)?
