I've been practising some arc welding this week, following the very useful guide on this website. My welding has improved and I am now getting peelers like this regularly when doing some pad work.
I've been using a prop to support my arms. It's perfect. I can rest my elbows, lean on the whole thing and take a bit of weight off my feet. It's the ideal height when welding a piece of plate held in the vice and it allows me to concentrate on my arc length. I wonder if they'll allow me to use this in the City and Guilds Arc Welding course that I want to take?
