only for your usage not on site usage otherwise its got to be yellow to determine thats its 110v
I have seen a lot of cables recently where the copper is turning black with some type of oxidization or reaction possibly with the insulation. We've also found that the cables are only domestic rated flex in yellow!
Much lower rating than proper artic cable.
that's generaly moisture in the cable and been left exposed .nearly all my scrap pile of cable left out has gone blackI have seen a lot of cables recently where the copper is turning black with some type of oxidization or reaction possibly with the insulation.
Some of this is in new 110v extensions, all cheap pvc yellow not proper flexible arctic.that's generaly moisture in the cable and been left exposed .nearly all my scrap pile of cable left out has gone black
I can understand why colour coding cables can help but it's the plugs that determine the voltage not the cable colour used. So if I rocked up on site with a blue or orange cable fitted with 110v plugs they wouldn't let me use it ? A Jobsworth is in charge me thinks.only for your usage not on site usage otherwise its got to be yellow to determine thats its 110v
