Hi all!
I've recently been researching welders to buy. I initially wanted a MIG welder but have been drawn away due to the need for gas and buying a reliable machine in the first place.
I've now come to the conclusion that an arc welder would be a good first machine due to the little welding I'll actually be doing.
Not only that but also because no gas is required, it can we used inside and out and surface preparation isn't always required for example removing paint and rust. I've also been told the weld isn't as pretty as other forms of welding but that doesn bother me too much, I'm happy to make good afterwards.
I'd like some advise on this if possible, pros and cons from people who own and have experience with them.
I'm leaning towards a Clarke machine also as the reviews I've seen on here has been pretty good. My budget is around £200 and won't go further than £300.
Thanks for all responses in advance!
