I've been loitering around the forum over the last few weeks trawling through threads on buying my first MIG. There's a pretty overwhelming amount of info for a total newbie but I have I may have picked one (Clarke 135te I think it's called). Before I go ahead and buy though I thought I'd see if anyone had a better idea.
I will be working almost exclusively on cars, occasionally doing other bits and pieces like making a work bench and various brackets etc. I'm still trying to get my head around what "gauge" means in reference to thickness, but I think nothing more than 5mm tops? My budget is pretty tiny, around £250-300 for the welder, I've started getting other bits and pieces in the meantime. I'd like it to be a gas MIG and I don't think I'll have any issues getting the big bottles.
Would thoroughly appreciate any thoughts
