All my kit except a welder direct from R-Tech has been Via Ebay. Yup alot is second hand but you just have to be careful what you buy. Lots of new stuff on there too.
Boxford Lathes were models A,C and C then became UD for under drive based on the southbend 4.5"
A = Quick change Gearbox and power feed (long and cross)
B = Power Feed (long and cross)
C = just half nuts no power feed
T = No feed at all
These are all basically the same appart from the above and came in different length beds
the drive on the earlier ones was behind the headstock and the UDs came mounted on a cabinet with the drive underneath (hence the name) Later ones are single leaver back gear, the earlier ones were two stage engage/release
then the Varialble speed one came along and then the more modern ones 280 330 etc
