I have a large oil drum with the top cut off to burn all our paper and cardboard and wood from projects leftovers the kids lime it and get the biscuits and marshallows out but I'm fed up with the burn marks on the grass I'm thinking by putting it 4 inchs or so off the ground it would stop most of the heat damaging the grass I normaly put 2 bits of wood under there as well but this helps but does not stop the burns completely
Legs welded on the oil drum would be my first idea or a frame with the welds under compression for it to sit on I have some metal from an old school table 20mmx20mm ish and the metal is 2mm ish think this will do a fair job of a frame but is this over kill will 4 legs welded to the bin be safe enught
