Decided not cover the whole underside in a stone chip coating (only the inner arches), expensive and awkward if repairs are needed in the coming years.
Currently the underside is covered with Jotun 87. I've realised that rollering on 2K clear leaves nasty bubbles as the lacquer becomes aerated. However, I have found that if I stipple the Jotun or apply it in a thick coat by roller, the clear coat can be brushed on and leaves a nice finish without runs or brush lines
So with a decision made to apply by brush, a couple of questions regarding it's application.
Firstly I would imagine an average brushed on coat would be thicker than that of one applied by a spray gun? With this in mind how many coats of clear is advisable? i.e is there a limit and could more than say two be detrimental?
Flash time, when is considered an safe bracket of time to apply further coats?
Thanks
