Every hole drilled and every bar bent by me. This job took so long I'm glad to see the back of it haha I wish the boss would get me another pair of hands
Using the phone camera haha and they wanted this made because the young ones on the estate like to sit on the wall haha
I used a jig chris just cut some pieces of 12mm round and weld them to a piece of 150mm x 10mm plate. Draw a half circle on the plate and put the 12mm round in place then bend some sheet until it takes the right shape. Put some 42mm pipe in the center of the jig for an arm to slide into so you can keep the bar tight on the jig when pulling it around. Then just a piece of square bar on the side to hold the bar in place if you can make sense of that :3 and the job was for a house in lurgan
I would Deffo have bought them in - life is too short and doing yourself adds nothing to hoops.
12 mm holes ain't to bad mind so not worth punched bar.
There are factories making these things in mass and your hoops can only equal thiers you see. So at best they look like factory made. Not sure what they cost each £ 1 - £ 2 each? At most I think including the raw material bar
We make all our own bow tops at work also. Using one of those wee machine mart parts benders. Once you get started it doesn't take long to get them done.
No it doesn't take that long but as kent said life is too short to be doing them yourself. The boss was having none of it though lol if it was my own job they would all have been bought
