The "bolt" (or a gripping ring, not sure what on yours) is what is used to "set" the amount of drag on the spool to stop over running.Yes agree my roller is on 1 and still no slipping of rollers, I will defo post a picture of my next bird nest hopefully you guys have helped enough to stop it, I think the contact tip is the key fingers crossed,
What'd you mean by drag on the real ( do you mean centre bolt too tight )
Someone on the forum did do an experiment one time where the did as I previously mentioned about pulling on wire at tip end (with feed roller flipped up) But instead of pulling with pliers he used some weights to see if the repairs and replacement of worn liner would make any difference as in less weight required to start spool turning when fix and parts replacing was done and if I recall it was quite a bit of difference in the weight required!
