Inverter, you would need to budget for longer torch and maybe return lead, it takes 100mm spools only but I find they last quite well, and anyway, if weight is concern 200mm spools are 5kg.
I don't know if the lil 140 has the same wire drive motor as my 162, but if it does, it will shove wire along a longer torch no probs, its a beast.
I think the quality of the wire drive is often overlooked.
IF using gas shielded, Jim Ds idea is a good one re the hose. As to portability, I modified a sack trolley to take my 162 on one site job I did, left it behind as it wasn't mine, but like this thing. Weld on hose n lead tidies and tool trays, jobs a good un -just make sure you get the weight distribution right though.
