€35I've been keeping an eye on the stahlwerk welders too. Their website looks to be a little cheaper than their prices on ebay, especially for the foot pedal.
Stahlwerk AC/DC TIG 200 PULS S = €750 / £625
There's one with plasma cut, at €900 / £750 - http://www.stahlwerk-schweissgeraete.de/en/shop/139-acdc-200-tig-puls-with-plasma-s.html (good video too )
Foot pedal is €35 and delivery for the welder is €20.
I know Rtech get a lot of good feedback on here. Their 200A machine is £1,260 though, compared to £670 for a similar spec stahlwerk. It's good to have piece of mind by buying from a UK company, but nearly twice the price seems expensive to me.
The feedback on ebay for stahlwerk looks pretty good too.

http://www.google.se/url?sa=t&sourc...74LoDg&usg=AFQjCNFVO98oevtE5zp2LdHN0LP7WCis7w Shop around they are not 1200 quid there is one here with the warranty for £900. And you can pay over 6 month interest free. I would choose this over the above every time if I was looking around for a set in that price bracket.
Oh yeah I see that. Still it's 185 quid a monthLooks like £1,100 to me including VAT?
It dose look to have frequency and balance ( bottom right 2 dials) but personally it's not one id go for.The Stahlwerk doesn't appear to have an adjustable ac frequency adjustment feature, the very thing you should be looking for if as you say you'll be mostly doing ali and on thinwall tubing for those intercooler pipes,
yeah it can be done on the nonadjustable 60hz frequency but it'll be a bit more difficult and more so if you aren't already a competent ali welder.
Cheers Richard, i checked the spec and could only see the frequency of the pulse feature shown. It dose look to have frequency and balance ( bottom right 2 dials) but personally it's not one id go for.
I agree with this completely.Just an observation...
nearly every "what welder should i buy" thread that comes up always seems to have links to machines listed on ebay?
there are plenty of other options out there,
first off theres your local welding supplies and boc which generally have a good range,
the warranty issue crops up inc sending it back,
any problems and you can take them back for repair and they'll often give you a loan machine meanwhile,
I've personally bought two welders in the last 18months and neither came via ebay,
by all means get on the web, plug away on google and you'll find plenty of other options out there.
