I've been soldiering on with my trusty Clark "bent over yer knee" pipe bender for ten years now and I'm thinking of an upgrade.
It gets a lot of use at the minute, bending 20x20 box with a couple of home made formers. (you may have seen my earlier thread this week) The trouble is, it is very slow and can be inconsistent.
With any upgrade, I'd need the usual dies for handrail pipe/tube (dont shoot me) 33mm, 42mm etc. I'd also need two dies for the 20x20 box, one radius 10mm smaller than the other.
So the question is, what would members recommend as the next sensible upgrade and what kind of budget would I need. Are the formers/dies something I could make myself (for the square box) or will they cost me £500 each??
Thanks for any advice.
