I currently have an ancient ClarkWeld 140 amp 'buzz box' and a SIP MIG welder.
First question, will I find using a modern inverter welder much easier than the old 'buzz box'? I'm assuming/hoping it will be a lot easier but I'd like to be sure.
Secondly are the under £100 Chinese ones any good at all? I will probably only be using it for arc/stick welding, mostly on 3mm steel plate (a boat) and also on garden machinery. I have helmet, gloves etc. so only need the welder itself really.
