hi guys, new here after lurking in the forums for some time trying to gain some much needed knowledge.
I have absolutely no experience welding whatsoever, however after seeing (and becoming marginally obsessed with) the beauty of tig guys when they're weaving, I am really keen to learn.
I have come to the conclusion that I want to learn arc first though as I can do this at home with some practice scrap.
My question is about which arc welder to buy!
Basically I have a very low budget (approx £100) to get something to practice with, I think my main focus is the best duty cycle I can get for the money so that I can just practice practice practice without waiting too long on cool down times.
I've looked at the sealey machines, Clarke, silverline ones (dirt cheap- 100amp welder for £60??!) and some of the Parker branded stuff.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Josh
