I have a job to do on a building project around the back of the house and wondered if the arc welder my dad gave to me recently would do the job. I have access to ring main and can if necessary rig up a 16amp commando but would prefer to keep it to a standard 13 amp socket as its a one off job.
I would be welding 10 or 12mm rebar together longitudinally, they will over lap by 100 to 150mm.
Will the welder do it (assuming it still works!), what rods to use and will 13 amp suffice?
Pics of the welder below
Cheers
