The length of chain attached and length of rode is more important than the hook on the end. Danforths are very prone to getting stuck. Popular on the back end of long distance cruising yachts as they store well and look nice. I agree onthe Delta or CQR.Remember holding power is mainly down to the size of the flukes.

I prefer the Delta type for general use. The delta is bascially a CQR without the annoying hinge.
