wonder if its sat somewhere as a projectIt took me a few goes of "not found" until I used MG as the manufacturer even though they didn't use that name until 2000

you could be rightI bet it's not as shiny now
tax due in 1997, been off road for 10 years and may possibly still exist as its still on the system
the cars ive scrapped are not on the system, yours could have been sold on a damage repairablesI've tried a van and a car I used to own, one written off after someone ran in to me and the other written off not long after I sold it. Both are still on the system so it looks like they don't mark them as scrapped when an enquiry is ran.
I'd like to know if some of my other old cars are still on the go, one appears to be taxed and mot'd, the other was the first restoration I did but its not been taxed for 10 year, I'd be gutted if its been scrapped.

possibly sold on then broke for parts and never properly scrapped on paper is another optionIt could be an age thing which I didn't think about earlier, one was written off 9 and the other 12 years ago and both say the tax was due just after they were crashed, the more recent one lists the MOT due date but the older says no info.

My first new car was an MG Metro

Anyone remember the Hella driving light grilles available at the time?.
Here is an approved BMC Hydro-Lastic suspension pump.
Last used to refill a front suspension on a Mk1 MGF.
That machine is mine, but lives down my friend garage as:
There were numerous aftermarket alternatives made and sold and a number were electrically powered instead of the hand pump type.
Last time looked hydrolastic units were not fitted with tool post holders....There were numerous aftermarket alternatives made and sold and a number were electrically powered instead of the hand pump type.
