Hello.
I have just joined the forum this afternoon.
I have not used a welding set for over 20 years now and am looking to get back into it for personal use at home.
Basically I am looking to purchase a Mig Welding set and would like some expert advice please?.
It will not be used everyday but more of a handyman / hobby use when needed.
I will mainly be using it for welding the following:-
Car body work and exhausts.
Some fencing and gates.
Make some ramps etc.
What would be the most suitable welding set for my proposed uses please?.
I have a budget of £200.
Should I buy a Mig set that works solely with Gas, one that works solely without Gas or one that can work on either?.
The welder needs to work from a domestic 240Volt supply and will mainly be used in a shed but also outside under vehicles.
I will also need a Handheld Screen or Full Helmet,
Any advice will be apppreciated.
Thank You
