Hi All
I'm looking to buy a MIG welder to use for car repairs (I have a little bit of experience on ARC but none on MIG). From what I've read on here, Clarke seems to be the brand to go for?
I think this would only need something like a 100/130 amp welder right? But is it worth getting a welder with slightly higher rating eg 150+ just in case I need to work on something thicker, and would these be as easy to use on thin metal (i.e. bodywork) given that I have no experience.
I have a budget of around £150-£200, maybe a little more if there's something that's really worth it. It would probably not see much heavy use.
Thanks
Oriel
