I was inspired by Wyn's Vibratory tub that I decided I needed to have my own, here was Wyn's for anyone that missed it:- http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/vibratory-tub.53894/
Now I had to approach it slightly different as I did not have the tube to start with, but after a bit of CAD and CNC plasma cutting I ended up with the two tub end pieces in 3 mm steel.
With a few bits of spare angle for the top and sides.
Then there was a length of 800 x 458 x 2 mm sheet and I started to tack the bits together, both ends to one edge of the sheet and tacked just along the straight edge, a piece of angle welded along to keep it flat and then the stupid bit.
Two ratchet straps to pull the sheet around the edge tacking as I go.
Use of some tube to get more leverage from the straps and all tacked up.
Then weld all along the seam on the outside and weld up another piece of angle to stiffen up the side.
That is were I left it tonight, sure the neighbours do not want to hear me at going past 10pm, even in my garage.
All I can say is there was some tension in the straps when pulling it over.
Progress as an when.
Cheers
Adrian
