Hey guys, and gals (stranger things have happened).
I studied electrical and mechanical engineering at college but we only covered torch welding. Now I'm trying to pick up arc welding and it seems the US is the only place in the world that really seems to do it anymore.
I have some I beam that needs a little TLC, so I've been trying to track down some 6011 here in the UK (I have an AC welder). 6013 and 7018 all a man could ever want, but an electrode that can clout through some crud, nil.
Any advice would be very very much appreciated.
End note: Yes I know removing as much crud as possible is the ideal, but hey we live in an imperfect world and sometimes you just have to rock with what you've got ;D
Cheers
