Just finished a largish ally job, nothing complicated but a lot of it, its a flat pack modular bar set up for an exhibition / events company, as usual had to provide some design / engineering guidance.
All cut up on the small bandsaw, this machine has really paid for its keep on this job
Just some of it here, had to phase the delivery and cutting or it would have swamped the workshop
Mostly the job is panels made from simple frames, this is the front panel, make one then use it as a jig to build the rest,
here's a few of them done, they then have a 2mm sheet pop riveted to one side, and an angle riveted to the top to allow it to hook on to the bar top.
The welds are vee'd out and tigged, they get flushed off to allow the panel to sit flat.
Next the shelves, again make one up and use it to build the rest on top
These have a 2mm sheet on the top, and a laser cut 5mm corner plate underneath. 2" hole for the legs just pushed through the sheet with a hole saw in a hand held drill
Next some legs, these are 48.3 ally scaffold tube with a collar welded on to support the shelf,
