I've got some landrover alloys here. They have lacquer peel etc.
They're not expensive alloys the cost of just taking them "somewhere" would probably exceed buying another used set in better condition. Plus I like DIY.
What's my best plan?
I have a couple of 3kw compressors, but no blasting kit.
Or maybe I could do somthing with DCM? I have about 10 ltrs of DCM, but, it gives me the fear a bit (can't find any gloves that it does not disolve) and 10ltrs probably isn't enough to dip half a wheel, assuming I could find a container suitable.
I guess I need to pursue either the blasting option or the chemical pathway. I can't think of another option? Sanding back a set of 5 alloys from scratch would make me go a bit crazy, I think.
