Oh I never knew that... so all the various grades of Aluminium are a mix of Ali and other metals to give it strength and ridgitity, yes.. otherwise Ali would be more like lead, eg too easy to bend etc with no real strength ..It's always an alloy, pure aluminium is uselessly weak.
1050 is pretty much pure. It's always an alloy, pure aluminium is uselessly weak.
Sure price it up pls mte and let me know... xNoods you need to get some decent quality sheet.
If you're after Nice practice sized coupons buy a sheet and ask for it to be sheared. There will be a charge.h but it will be worth getting it sorted.
If you're after a bit of 1.5mm or 3mm I could do you some coupons I can figure a price out if you want.
50mm x 150mm is a decent size. You could go 40mmx 150 but the smaller the coupon the hotter it gets
I haven't used this machine but does it let you set a slope when in scratch start mode?, what happens if you turn on HF. (I presume that's what the icons represent)Followed the basic instructions with earth lead in the + etc but, I've the foot pedal connected and when I try to set up the parameters it basically won't let me adjust what I should be able too.. it skips past the slope up and down and also the initialstarting amp stages which the book says I should set?
Yes mte I've holiday in Oct so I will book up via the travel agents.. one ticket to Sè Rechard I think that's in Cambs or Herts.. xYour simply too hot noods for the size of your piece. You know where I am if you fancy a morning getting the thing singing like a bird.
Ah you've moved...Cambridgeshire now mate. Only a few miles from where I was.
I will mte, it's superb on SS and steel I'm luving that.. hope to see you in a couple of weeks then mte ... will PM you on it ..They are a decent little unit noods I've used one many times and got gleaming welds out of them every time. A little set up knowledge and seat time will see you get the goods out of it. Keep practicing and if you need to pop up and we will sort it.
