Hi all. I have been looking around Flea-bay recently as I am looking to treat myself to a plasma cutter and an inverter MMA.
As all of you are aware there is a huge range of stuff now available from the far east and so I have been leaning towards one of the 3 in 1 MMA / Plasma / TIG that are sold by Local Tool Sales (LTS)
Now I am aware that both this company and the Chinese stuff have varying reports on here but I actually have a mate that uses one of LTS CT416 units for his car repair business and is more than happy with the service from LTS and the performance of the 3 in 1 unit.
The question I really want to ask is has anyone got any experience of a 3 in 1 MIG / TIG / MMA? LTS are advertising a 200 amp inverter unit that comes with TIG torch and reg. MMA electrode holder, Euro torch and an Ali spool torch. Is it really a step too far in regards to being a poor jack of all trades welder and master of none?
I already have an Eland 240amp single phase MIG that has proved to be very reliable over the years but it is now nudging past 20 years old.
