Hi all - a new member for the forum as many are when looking for advice!
I am now retired and was a time served apprentice in my youth with half decent skills at gas, arc welding / OA cutting and brazing.
I am now looking to equip my retirement play room and would appreciate any advice on purchasing an electric welder. I am familiar with the principles and difference in techniques of MIG & TIG but am not sure what to buy.
For the hobbyist only doing light occasional work (nothing more than about 4 mm max in mild steel and maybe stainless) are the combination MIG/TIG chinese machines any good? or should I seek something different. Up to about £400 budget.
Any / all advice gratefully accepted
