Only on aluminium. Anything else is miles from ideal.It's not ideal, but you can mig with pure argon.
If you only had mig (and practice) and needed to fill those 14mm holes you wouldn't have had to cut out discs to fill them

the seller has responsibility to honour any warranty and it's up them to negotiate with the manufacturer for any reimbursement.
Its backed by how good the sellers relationship is with the manufacturer.
