Buy a nice synchrowave or squarewave Gizmo and you'll have nothing to moan about. You had to wind the old ones up for gods sake.
So the reading on the left shows you the actual amps you are using? Could be handy i suppose find the sweet spot then dial that in to max if you want. This is how mine works.
Pic 1 with the pedal plugged in. Minimum current setting is displayed (I can set this to what ever I want. It's at 3amps)
Pic 2 pedal un plugged now shows max current achieved by flooring the pedal. I can change that with the pedal plugged in but I won't see it change unless I unplug it. I can count the increments on the knob as I turn it if I wish but it's easier to just pull out the plug. Doesn't take me 10 seconds. I thought the other thermal arcs were the same but could be wrong it's been a while.
Well yes it shows actual amps been generated. But you don't have to find a sweet spot. You can pre set it where you like and use it like a switch you just unplug the pedal to see where your setting for max. For min you can leave the pedal in.So the reading on the left shows you the actual amps you are using? Could be handy i suppose find the sweet spot then dial that in to max if you want.
I'm surprised my machine is old but simple, max amps on main dial. can change to switch and leave pedal plugged in.
It won't work. His pedal sends the machine back to default full amp scope. Then the pot on the pedal is the over ride. Just mark up the pot and crack onWould it be possible to put a switch in the cable just after the plug so you could flick the switch to isolate the pedal and set amps on the machine then flick the switch and continue welding?
Tom sells the TA giz. Don't mess about he's been more than good enough to offer to have it back. Talk to him about an exchange sale and cover the price differenceive given it a week, and i just can't get to grips with it. I find it frustrating and dropping the F-Bombs every time it comes to adjust it. Not to mention i flashed myself AGAIN today whilst changing the amperage.
Been trying to get hold of the UK Agent for Thermal Arc, which in turn appears to be ESAB - But have yet to return both of my calls.
