Hi all,
I have never welded before but want to make up some simple structures for the garden to train plants on - I'm sure you've all seen the obelisk and pyramid type frames I'm talking about.
I want to make them out of mild steel for a rustic look and I'm looking at using rods of a thickness between 6mm - 12mm (depending on the height) and occaisionally 25 x 3mm flat as a band. I use the word loosely but I imagine I only want to "tack" the pieces together.
Can someone suggest the best type of welder for the job please? I am looking around for a local beginner's course but it would obviously help if I knew which type of welding I should be focusing on.
Thanks in advance.
Matt.
