That's not too bad. 15 minute HD videos were painfull. Used to edit them when I got home and upload overnight whilst snoozing.Well, I started to u/load and it was going to take about 2.5 hours!! I've cancelled it meantime as I can't believe everyone spends their entire life waiting for that to happen.
I'll see if I can convert/reduce the file size somehow before trying again. You can probably tell I'm useless at video/MP3/MP4 etc........
im only 5 pages behind the suggestion but I would remove the castors and fit a bit of hefty plate and box section in each corner, then attach the castors to these. If you make the upper portion big enough you can put some chunky threaded rod, or even cut down and bolt half a g clamp to it. This will enable you to raise the lathe with the bolts, or lower it onto the castor. Done right it will sit lower than the castor's alone
Not sure if the leadscrew has been oilers were full of grease which I suspect but I'll be oiling - may remove it at some point. My mate tells me it's possible to heat bushes to 'sweat' out old oil/grease, then leave them to cool in fresh oil - but it can only be done once. Anyone else heard of this trick?
Will be a shame to get her dirty. ;-)
A 10-part video series for you @slim_boy_fat
