Hi Folks,
Been lurking for a while and reading up some stuff on what's needed to start welding but bought myself a Sip Handymig a few days ago. I know it's doesn't seem to have the best reputation but it was cheap and hardly used and if I can't get the hang of welding at least I've not lost much. The welding I need is mostly automotive, can do most things as an amateur enthusiast having stripped and rebuilt my MGB, just got it through it's first MOT in fifteen years but the bodywork was farmed out with the subsequent costs involved.
Most of the welding I hope to do will be on that well known eighties rot box, the Maestro but in MG form. The acid test will be if I save it, I'll have cracked the welding game!
Cheers,
Steve
