Today I went up to check on progress on a job I have been working on.
This is an extension to an existing building that marries up with a second building running parallel to it. All measured and drawn by myself. Those big beams are 762 deep and close to 2 ton a piece. All cold rolled brackets are bolt on , and the steels are purchased pre drilled.
Nice little staircase running up to the mezz floor.
Reason for the big beams is the client wanted a nice open space for a showroom and a gym.
However, the interior designer was talking about running walls under the large beams to break up the space
Can you spot the glaring error (hint - look at the mezz floor rails )
