Hi I am currently trying to obtain a 6g coding for Flux core welding.
I work on boilers and pressure vessels using flux core but none of it is in position it's all on the flat and they do not offer the code.
I can obtain the code by doing a short (expensive) course at my local college.
But would other employers still have the same level of interest as they would for someone who performs 6g positional work within the workplace on a day to day basics? Or would they have any interest at all seeing as I would of only of done it within a training facility?
It's something I want to learn as this code will cover me for all types of flux cored welds and will increase my chances of finding better paid work.
