So if I am painting a classic mini shell and doors, bonnet & boot in temperatures below 20 deg I am still better off with a slower thinner. Just I had a couple of runs on inside of doors and thought it may have been due to slow thinner, looks like it's probably just me so need to be more careful.
Hopefully with a little more practice I will be ok
u have to be careful of double coating.......I found that a dust coat where ur gonna double coat will give u gloss and proper colour with out the run's.......when I was learning the best place for runs was around the window's and the scuttle in front of the screen....u know where the wing and the bonnet meet just under the glass......the other problem area is where u start from, cos the time u get back there it's often going dry......I tend to remove the boot lid and start on the rear r/wing thats after the roof...speaking of the roof I only go down about 1/2 way with the pillars then come up to meet the edge when painting the bottom on the last coat BUT remember the dust coat ......then go around the body....remembering to paint the bonnet....don't ask how I know......hahaha.....hope that makes sense ?........frank.......
