Default Hobart wire feed problem

I discovered a prob this morning,if anybody can help
shoul there be a guide tube like a liner in the 'tube' after the wire feed roller going to the the euro torch connection on the wire feed unit side?? mine doesn't it has a 3/16" hole down it which the wire seems to enjoy jamming up in at slightest possible chance. I have sorted/bodged at the moment very sucsesfully with a 2.5" long peice of copper brake pipe!!
Thanks
Jimms

Yes, I had a Lincoln LN-7 with the same problem. The wire gets an S-bend to it and really adds drag as it then passes through the liner.
