Ok not really a project for this site as there's no welding to do, and only a little metal fabrication

And unfortunatly I started the project without telling you guy's
Picked it up from Hemel Hempsted in mid-january
It's aluminium sides, inside about 10ft long, 6ft+ high, 6ft wide. To the outer edges of the mudguards it almost 8ft wide!
14/01/08
Bit tatty right to start off with, this is me dragging it home
27/02/08
Finished most of the wiring now. All new wires from front to back with 4 front markers, 6 front light bolts, 10 side markers, 3 rear markers (all LED), with 4 rear light units and number plate lights. All the indicator, brake, tail and numberplate lamps have had the filament bulbs removed and swapped for LED replacments, to keep the power consumption down.
Going to put on reversing lights on too, done some of the wiring for this but I'll also need to fit the 2nd socket on the van.
Fitted a sheet of 1.5mm glav to fill the gap above the ramp when closed at the rear
All the chassis underneath has been coated with underbody seal, but will prolly go and give it another coat when it warms/dries up a bit outside.
The opaque (fibreglass?) roof has been scrubbed down to let in a bit more light. Might be a few joins in the roof edge and metal framework needing a new touch up of silicone.
The battered chequer plate on the ramp has been taken off and wood fitted. Will get round to bashing the plate back into shape then bolting it down over the wood at some point, should make a fairly strong ramp!
Will probably also put down another layer of wood on the floor to strengthen it up a bit
Then an update for today:
28/03/08
Have had a busy 3 weeks but this last week has been quiet so managed to get some more done.
Have fitted a layer of OSB over the floor as the ply was a bit bouncy in places.
Finished all the wiring on the trailer which includes 12n and 12s sockets, full road lighting, reverse lights, 2 halogen worklights above the ramp and LED strip lighting inside (simillar to in the van);
Most parts have been bought from a very reliable and well stocked trailer parts supplier based in Worksop, who occasionly uses this forum
