Anyone that own the Makita 9565CV?

I've got the 100mm version, which is pretty similar but only 850ish watts, and I've got to say I'm disappointed with it. It's only about three months old and it starts 'hunting' (sounding like it needs new brushes) if I use it for any length of time (the brushes are fine though).

I've always been a Makita fan and have had quite a bit of their kit over the years. This was bought to replace an old 100mm Makita that I'd had for something like thirty years without any problems ...maybe I've just been unlucky this time?

Years ago, a Makita 4in angle grinder was a great piece of kit, we had three of them for at least 10 years. But imo, of late something has gone wrong; everything we had in recent Makita has failed. On Monday the angle drive on the 9in grinder wrecked itself, even though all the screws were still tight. The safety guard was crap, always coming loose cos the diameter about which it sat was wearing away. Now we'll get a decent one.
Any recommendations???

I have a 4.5 & a 5" about 6 &4 years old ,only replaced brushes on 1 of them;excellent.

Mmm that not good Guys!
I have made my mind t purchase this Grinder after that i am in serious consideration to be honest.
I have larger Variable speed grinder that serve me well all this time.Really handy the variable speed function so looking to purchase a small and light variable speed grinder .
Makita it seems to be the smallest and lightest.
I am a Makita Man so not sure what to purchase really?
Any suggestions?

CJ the people above seems not happy with the latest Makita Angle grinders .I was ready to purchase the Makita 9565CV and just thought that is nice to ask my friends here in this Super Forum about this toy

that paticular grinder is the bread n butter of grinders imho and ive never had any trouble from mine only except the little spindle lock system is a little weak on changing the blades but they should'nt be too tight anyway. Cant go wrong for the money on any old school Makita stuff is my thinking. HTP's

I am not an expert I do own an old more than 10 years old Blue Bosch Large angle grinder that I will not sell for nothing.Really pleased with this kit.Old school was an old school, everything seems to went cheap even this big companies.
If you check again the thread you will see what rocketron said about the latest Makita Grinders!
We speak about £140.00 for this toy and to end up in crap thing will be a shame

well why not buy 14 £10 jobbies,last a life time.

I haven't made my mind but really look for something reliable and not necessary to last a life, I will not :whistle:

I need it as sometimes I want to grind soft stuff so the variable speed is really handy.Also I found the variable speed in any tool really handy brightspark.
The issue is if you are able to find any reliable small angle grinder with variable speed?
