Best one I've witnessed, was 15yrs ago in Sheffield, a 6" bench grinder, 1 good wheel, bearings like hex nuts.
Auctioneer starts @ 50p then 2 guys start a bidding war - finished @ £130 +15% commission +vat for scrap
Anybody else see that 10 year old Esab Smashweld 250 go for £1080!
WTF! Now I know it was is good nick an all but its still 10 years old, can't really be worth that much surely, compared to what you can get new for that money?
or am I wrong?
PS - How did any of you find it anyway? If you do a search on e-bay, it doesn't include items that are sold. Or at least doesn't when I do it!
CJ
There's a button at the side to do a completed item search
Hi CJ, you mean you've never checked what sort of price stuff goes for before? There's a whole new world for you
No! But it will feature in my future! (almost poetic!)
PS I realise this isn't an "Educate Country Joe" thread, but how do I start a new thread? What do you click on, to do this?
