Its a pillar drill I was looking at, I don't know why I didn't mention that in my first post.
This one infact http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/270612241412
I saw it late and didn't want to bid only to find replies telling me how bad it was.
Sounds like it would have been ok for the price?
Why would a seller pay the extra to add a photo of a label no one can readProbably a bargain at that price, i love it when sellers can't be bothered
My drill is a Naerok PID19 from their "professional" range no less. 1hp motor, 3/4 inch chuck capacity, MT3 arbour. Massively built, barely discernible play in the quill, 16 speeds from 160 to 3030 rpm, big rotating and tilting table with winding handle, depth stop. Can't think of anything else i need and it seems like it'll last well. They also did lighter range models GP13 and GP16 from what i've seen. Korean stuff seems to be ok, think Vertex for instance.
To answer the original question if it's on a par with Clarke the only one in their range that is as powerful as this and with a 3/4 chuck capacity will set you back £450 though they only do a floor standing model. See attached image for an idea of the size of this thing![]()
thats sitting prettyjust snaffled a Nearok HDY13 off ebay for £36 of the Queens pounds.
(So can happily let my smaller Nutool go for £20 now)
