Default Audi paints

I need to do half the bonnet, easier just to do the whole thing... and while im at it, just touch in round the front arches...

Whats the score with audi paintwork.... its just a flat very dark blue colour, not metalic/pearl. I have the paint code, LZ5L.

Is it just paint, or is it paint and lacquer?

How much paint should i buy, 1litre, and 1litre of matching thinner?

right, did a search and that is a pearl finish.
so it will be base coat and clear.
you'll get by with a ltr.of colour.dont know if you'll get lacquer in ltr,might have to buy 5 ltrs.then activator,and reducer/thinners.
if you have a paint shop local, take a sample in to them and they should match it for you.i take fuel cap/door myself.hope this helps.

you will only need a quater of a litre of base for a bonnet and then will have some left get a litre of laquer, activator to suite and thinners for base and laquer.

Paint is never easy is it
Youd never guess it was pearl looking at it
Might be easier just to keep me eyes out for a new bonnet from a breakers then
