Impressive outdoor fabrication

Browsing the web (as you do) I came across this rebuild of a vw caddy. If anyone remembers the link to the impressive sheet metalwork on the vw van (where a guy with a hammer skill and a bit of railway track fabricates a whole vw panel), this impressed me in a similar way. The sheer range of tasks taken on is insane (bodywork repair, suspension replacement, silly engine, manifold fabrication ... it's got something for everyone and best of all, it's not some fancy garage it a self taught mechanic working at the side of the road. as a taster here's some pics that impressed me:

just read all of that guy thread,what a caviler attitude he has regarding major problems,it has kept me busy for the last 4hrs,what a project,what a man,totally nuts as you say but in a nice way.

This guy needs to post his vw build on the volksrodders forum, they feature someone each month as "Crazy Guy of the Month" he'd be a shoo-in!

a good friend of mine has put a Volvo t5 engine in a MK3 golf he now works at a top tuning shop and has got his car to near 415bhp! i welded his drive shafts up for him.

This guy has done several projects in the past, this is just the latest. Among them, a 3 litre V6 VW Camper and a Volvo T5 engine and front suspension in a Beetle.
