Default plasma hard to start...

hi, this is my first post but ive been lurking and reading and learning for a while. i just got a secondhand murex sabre 40 plasma cutter. I got it home on thursday night and i worked a treat. (this is my first time ever using a plasam cutter). Today it seems very hard to get it to actually start cutting or even strike an arc. Any advice would be greatly apprieciated.

cheers Gary.

Welcome to the forum.

1. Check the earth clamp is clamped to whatever it is you are cutting
2. Check the tips are in decent condition
3. Make sure air pressure is ok
