Well as myself and some of you feared, they/he/she came back!!!!!!!
Got up this morning to go and do some work for a friend and noticed the hinges had some of the screws removed. There are four in total, two of them had been removed and the remaining two they couldnt get undone as they had security screws in them. A couple of the security screws had been drilled, but they are hardened and they obviously only brought one drill, or a crappy one as they must have given up. So today I have ended up putting in coachbolts, right through the door and a piece of flat bar. It wont stop em but it will slow them down. Got the alarm reinstated and a baby monitor. Big stick at both the front and back door, and all the lights now working. Just dont know what I will do if I catch them at!!! i have a pretty short and nasty temper but dont want to end up in jail for GBH which is what will happen if I do catch them

well if you can get hold of some sheet steel line the inside of the shed just incase they go through a wall or even some strong plywood and make a couple of drop bars to padlock right across the door.
i had my garage done some years ago not nice to find your door wide open when it wasnt you that opened it

Hi Daz

At least you kept the fkrs out this time, I also have my shop in a rural area thankfully next door to our house, not had any attention yet but these posts have made me think.
I have alarm, lights f & r, gravel yard, shoot bolts on closures and posts on the doors, alarm taped windows and grilles inside the low ones.
A few years ago I had the crime prevention officer over to look around and give advice, he offered a fair bit, much of which has already been suggested, and just before he left he asked what i would do if I cought someone in there. I said if I had been shooting rats or other vermin I would probably treat them the same way, remember he was a police officer, his reply was, MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A JOB OF IT, dead criminals cant press charges!!!!!!!!!!

Just bury the bodies deep enough! Have you built a gas-bottle furnace yet....... Its hard to prove anything without evidence

Personally, I would spend the next few nights camping out waiting for them. Give them the good news, drive them a loooong way away and ditch them with the advice that the next time they will end up on the BBQ for the dogs dindins. But thats just me and I do believe thats letting them of lightly

If you want quasi legal, use a electric fence generator set to BULL. Gives a cracking blue spark, puts the fear of death into anyone and wont result in you having to hide the bodies afterwards. Staple chicken wire inside the wooden section so if they dig through or peel the roof, stick their hand in and the first thing they encounter is a mesh which is live and gives them a belt.
The only caution is if theyre spiteful ****'s they may torch the shed in temper.

I did work somewhere that used the above but with a straight connection to unfused 240v mains. We found a bent curly screwdriver and a small smouldering hole in the rear door one day...

I would have no hesitation in burying the bodies with the jcb. Enter at your own risk, danger of death...

I know the measures I have taken wont stop them, but at least it will slow them down, hopefully enough to make them think the next time they appear. The electric fence idea is good, I had already thought of that and will keep it in mind if they do reappear. Thanks for all the advice guys,

cheers

I saw a notice somewhere warning of guard dogs patrolling with the addition "survivors will be prosecuted"
