Default CUT-40 Plasma cutter problem.

Well, I started using my replacement cut-40 yesterday and only using it to cut 1mm angle off my trailer. After 3 cuts the OC light came on! I followed the instructions and switched it off for two minutes, turned it back on and no red light, so I went to strike an arc and red OC light came on. No arc! Can anyone advise on a solution please.

You bought it Feb this year so it's still under warranty, get in touch with the seller!
Regarding fixing it, you'd probably have to give it to someone who can diagnose faults at component level, it's not as simple as saying it's 'x' or 'y' component that's failed.

Various compoents inside the machine when fail can bring on the oc light. Faults other than compoents inside the machine that can cause the oc light to come on are:
low or high mains input voltage, If you are using a long extension lead or a bad connection in the mains plug / socket could cause the oc light to come on.
Consumables that are badly worn or incorrect or the wrong type could also cause the fault.

I work for tecarc where I repair various machines including the one you have. PM me if you require further help.

I have sent the cutter to be diagnosed, as this is what the seller requested. Hopefully I will get a working machine back so I can get on with my projects. Keep you posted.
