hi all.
Its amazing how much info/help this site offers, read loads of posts on reg/bottle combinations e.t.c my question is this i have a twin guage reg for my pub c02 bottle but would like to go to argosheild /argotec the reg is stamped up for 230 bar the guage reads up to 300 bar as read on hear argo bottles have female thread not male, i have some bulnose adaptors off some oxy ses guages (one left hand ,one right hand thread), could the adaptors just be swaped over in the back of the reg or is this a bit naughty? |

i thought that the 2 gases have vastly different material properties and therefore require different regs one compresses gas in the bottle and the other liquid, but I just got a Machine mart twin gauge reg and it has 2 scales on the dial(Almodt picked up the wrong one on thursday) one calibrated in argon and one in co2. I therefore assume that they make i reg and change the input fitting between male and female as they are the same reg appart from that and the name of the gas on the reg.
