The problem was BT was replacing the cables and they hadn't got them high enough. HGV traveling at 28mph with a 15ft 10inch trailer has alot of kinetic energy. Ladder didn't kill her but the pole breaking and landing on her did the damage. The driver didn't drive a truck again, know all about...
Roll bar in a military 90 goes into brackets pot riveted to bulkhead, seatboxes and outer panel just below body capping. Not a roll over bar but adds a bit more protection than hood sticks. Also means an anchor point for seatbelt.
With the hobby bottles you can have the regulator on max and still have problems with not enough gas, especially welding outside. Also those hobby bottles last for a really short time, argon mix only lasts for a very short time. Look at the gas cost spread sheet to see how much they will cost you.
That is the problem welding cars, just try to get your self in the best position, which is comfortable. For somebody who has not much welding experience they are good welds, you know your last welds on the car will be your neatest welds.
Hi, Sir Crashalot looks like you could have put a little more heat into the weld. Did you over plate or cut out and butt weld? Verticals look neater than the flat welds not so raised.

Be the same as reversing an A frame trailer, it can be done but it is even worse to try and reverse in a straight line. How i used to reverse them is to steer the trailer like you were driving it, that way you know which way the A frame has to go.
Just bought another welder off of ebay and i was glad i went to pick it up. It was described as good condition but when i got there i said i would like to try it, it worked but did not weld(give the seller his due he did take alot of money off the price so i did still buy it). New torch liner...
My broadband seems to be reasonable, been happy with Bt, any problems been sorted and when i upgraded to infinity(first in box) everything went smoothly. Engineer checked all the things that needed a wifi signal connected before he left.
Hate to say it but with an intercooler and turbo the pipes are under pressure not vacuum, if you still have the standard hoses on lift bonnet and watch the hoses whilst somebody takes the engine to maximum revs. The rubber pipes will expand, have seen some nearly double in size when under...
Check the footwells/ bulkhead, also have you took the wings off because it will be rotten behind. Think you will have to take the screen wash bottle out aswell. I scrapped a 1995 disco because the rust was every where not just the inner wings, body mounts at front of inner wing and the body...
Had to be in the Land Rover part, but most of my welding is for modifying them(thankfully). Day job is now a chaufer for a few thousand chickens.
I just took an angle grinder to the foot of my jackal high lift, radius the front to match wheel rim. Might have a go at making that attachment though.

Land rovers use wheel nuts, but do locate on the centre of the hub. The alloy wheels have stronger studs as the torque on alloy wheels is allot higher than for steel wheels. the easiest way to fit disco alloys on an early defender is to fit the discovery axles, or hubs/ axle ends.
Most rally cars have an ally fuel tank. Made an ally tank for my land rover, with lots of baffles and the in tank pump in closed inside a tube with bottom of pump in a well. Mocal sell a nice filler neck and cap. Tig welded my tank but found i had to use 2mm ally to try to limit distortion. Don
