Had the front lawn re turfed at the start of April and it's been lovely snd green up until the last few weeks, it's not started to go brown and patchy. I had been watering every evening, up until recently when it's been raining heavily most day for weeks.
I didnt cut it for the first 3 weeks...
That's a much better idea, I will see how this holds up, may be fine, time will tell. Was assembling them and went to fit and thought o cock, forgot about that
Then get them hung,. The drop bolt it somthing I'm not overly happy with I fitted it last and forgot I fitted the gate stop where i wanted to bolt it to. It's fitted with tech screws. Will see how it holds up I guess.
Just about finished these gates up today, don't have a great deal of time so it's taken a couple weeks with a few hours most evenings.
I'll start off with some pictures of welds, even though they all get ground down smooth
For rhe post I settled on 80x5mm box, its in the ground around 1m...
Would also like to know now. I changed to another milwaukee blade and got the same results so have dug my evolution chop saw out till I rectify the band saw. Its Noisy and spits got chips in your face but cuts straight
When I brought the saw it didn't come with a spare blade so I brought the milwaukee ones noted somewhere in this thread. They are cutting around 5mm off vertical on 40mm box so massively out. I did wonder if I fitted the blade the wrong way around. The teeth are pointing I the direction of travel?
First issue with my band saw last night. Had been cutting slot of 40x3mm box steel fine till the original blade snapped. Replaced with a milwaukee one and now the cuts all over the place. I'm cutting 45 angles but it's not cutting vertical. Once it's cut throw the metal you cannot raise the...
Yes, it what made me build my first gate as I loved the look of it. Her post has out riggers buts it's also twice the size. Mine is only planned to be at waist height
A few months later and I've still done nothing with this , her indoors has started asking about it so need so gey my **** I'm gear. Still un sure regarding just concreting into the ground if it would need out riggers on it or not? Would rather over engineer it over having it move
That's an impressive looking gate. Unfortunately the wall on the right is my next-door neighbour garage and don't think she would appreciate me attaching anything to it
Good advice, I'll give it a go.
Know what you mean regarding the filter housings, never had swirl flap issues but had melted intake manifold or the usual snapped bolt, smoke machine for the win here. Also had the pleasure of high pressure pumps, turbos and the normal coolant in the vac...
Head is still on, I've had one before that was also solid and had head off and sent away to have it removed. Probably done a hundred injectors on these and some get tight they usually come out fine once you start to wiggle them.
Yet to come across an issue with the retaining bolts, all the...
Got myself into a bit of pickle with an injector stuck on an om651 sprinter engine.
Started with a seized injector, which after much faff resulted in a snapped injector I've managed to drill out the snapped part down the the copper fire washer relatively easy, I'm left with an approx 1mm thick...
I had my portasol iron before my milwaukee one. The gas torch is a good iron with bits readily available.
The milwaukee is bigger and bulkier, but I like fact it had a built in light and adjustable head. Not needed to change the ends but believe they are available from cj sinclair. I like the...
I've now got a boot for the die grinder also have a extended reach ratchet (not pictured) to go with my normal one. I noticed gb powertools had boots this week, considerably cheaper than I paid too
